Jai Guru Dev Temple, also known as Naam Yog Sadhna Mandir, is located in Mathura on National Highway 2. This magnificent temple was built by Baba Jai Gurudev in memory of his spiritual master, Pandit Ghurelal Sharma Ji. It is maintained by the Jai Gurudev Dharma Pracharak Sanstha, Mathura.
The temple is renowned for its stunning architecture, which draws inspiration from the iconic Taj Mahal. Made entirely of white marble, it features domed structures and intricate minarets that leave visitors in awe. Entry to the temple is free, and it welcomes devotees from all walks of life.

About Baba Jai Gurudev
Baba Jai Gurudev Ji Maharaj was a revered spiritual leader born in a small village in Uttar Pradesh. After losing his parents as a child, his mother urged him to seek and realize God. At the age of seven, he left his home to embark on a spiritual journey, visiting temples, mosques, and churches.
In his youth, Baba Ji met his spiritual master, Pandit Ghurelal Ji Sharma, in Chirauli village, Aligarh. Under his guru’s guidance, Baba Ji dedicated himself to intense meditation, often spending more than 12 hours a day in deep contemplation. With time, he attained spiritual enlightenment and began sharing his teachings with the world in 1952, starting in Varanasi.
Baba Ji’s teachings emphasize living a pure and disciplined life. He encouraged his followers to eat natural vegetarian food and avoid alcohol, drugs, and other intoxicants to keep their souls pure. He also highlighted the importance of overcoming five human weaknesses: lust, anger, greed, attachment, and ego. According to Baba Ji, we must rise above these to return to our true spiritual home, free from pain and suffering.
Baba Ji viewed the human body as a temporary “rented house,” reminding everyone that material possessions and relationships are left behind after death. What remains are our deeds, which shape the soul’s journey.
He dedicated his life to spreading spiritual awareness, and his teachings continue to inspire millions of followers worldwide. Baba Jai Gurudev took Samadhi on May 18, 2012, at his Mathura ashram, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and devotion.
