Start your journey at Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple, the sacred birthplace of Lord Krishna. The temple is divided into three sections: Keshavdev Temple, Garbha Griha (the prison cell where Krishna was born), and Bhagwat Bhavan. This is one of the biggest temples in Mathura.

Dwarkadhish Temple
Located in the heart of Mathura’s Holi Gate Market and close to Vishram Ghat is an architectural masterpiece. Lord Krishna is worshipped here in his Dwarkanath form, along with Goddess Radha. The temple’s stunning Rajasthani-style carvings make it one of the most beautiful and historic sites in the city.
Vishram Ghat
This holy ghat on the Yamuna River is where Lord Krishna is believed to have rested after defeating his uncle, Kansa. The evening Aarti here is a magical experience, and visitors can also enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the Yamuna.
Bhuteshwar Mahadev Temple
One of the oldest temples in Mathura, this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva in his Bhuteshwar Mahadev form. It is a revered site for devotees seeking blessings and protection.
Kans Quila
Situated on the banks of the Yamuna, Kans Quila is an ancient fort believed to have been the residence of Kansa, Krishna’s uncle. The fort has an imposing structure, but much of it is now in ruins. Visitors should be cautious of monkeys in the area.
Birla Mandir
Located on Mathura-Vrindavan Road, Birla Mandir is a beautiful temple made of red sandstone and white marble. Built by the Birla family, it features the impressive Gita Stambh, a tall pillar engraved with verses from the Bhagavad Gita.
