Nand Bhavan, perched on a hill in Nandgaon, was the home of Krishna’s foster parents, Nanda Baba and Yashoda Maiya. Krishna moved here from Gokul at the age of 2.5 years, and this became the center of His mischievous and enchanting childhood. Imagine Krishna’s laughter echoing through these walls as He played with Balram and His friends.

Asheshwar Mahadev

Asheshwar Mahadev Temple is located near Nand Bhavan. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, who is known here as the fulfiller of all desires. According to the legend, Lord Shiva is easily pleased with simple prayers, making this temple a place of hope for devotees.

Ter Kadamb

Ter Kadamb is a beautiful place where Krishna would graze His cows. He often climbed a Kadamb tree and played His enchanting flute to call the cows. The melody of His flute was so divine that the cows would gather around Him in no time.

Charan Pahadi

Charan Pahadi, or the Hill of Footprints, holds a fascinating story. It is said that Krishna once played His flute so beautifully here that the sweetness of the music melted the hill under His feet, leaving His footprints behind.

Vrinda Kund

Vrinda Kund is associated with Vrinda Devi, a Friend of Radha and Krishna. She is known for arranging their secret meetings in the forests. This serene place also houses a pond where Vrinda Devi used to bathe. The temple nearby portrays her beautifully adorned with ornaments and holding a yellow parrot in her hand.

Pawan Sarovar

Pawan Sarovar, also known as Yashoda Kund, is a tranquil pond just south of Nand Bhavan. Yashoda Maiya would come here daily to bathe, sometimes bringing Krishna and Balram along. It is said that she loved watching them play near the water.

Hau Bilau

Hau Bilau is tied to an amusing story from Krishna’s childhood. Whenever Krishna and Balram were late coming home, Yashoda Maiya would warn them about a scary creature called “Hau” to get them to return quickly.
