About Vaishno devi Temple, Vrindavan

Maa Vaishno Devi Dham in Vrindavan is a holy place founded by Shri J C Chaudhry. It covers 12 acres of land and is a special spot for devotees from all over India.

The most amazing thing about this temple is the huge statue of Maa Vaishno Devi, which is 141 feet tall. The statue is so big that you can even see it from the national highway. The temple is designed to look like the ones in Jammu, with hills, caves, and lots of greenery. It is located on Chhattikara Road and has cave that display idols of all nine forms of the goddess, each beautifully shown.

Maa Vaishno Devi Dham has other facilities too, like a Devi Mandir, a cave for darshan, a dining hall, a free dispensary, a guesthouse, a spiritual hall, a meditation hall, a yoga hall, and a library. It’s a peaceful place for prayer and spiritual growth.

History of Vaishno Devi Temple, Vrindavan

The history of the Vaishno Devi Temple in Vrindavan is connected to devotion and the desire to make the goddess’s blessings more accessible to everyone. Mata Vaishno Devi is a form of three goddesses combined—Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasarasvati. The story goes that she appeared on earth to defeat a demon named Mahishasura and to get rid of evil.  After many battles, the goddess conquered the evil and stayed on earth to protect the earth.

The main Mata Vaishno Devi Temple is in Katra, Jammu, where thousands of people go every year to pray. But because the temple is far away, many people can’t make the journey. To help more people connect with the goddess, Jai’s Trust, led by Mr. J.C. Chaudhary, bought land in Vrindavan in 2003. This holy city is also known for being connected to Lord Krishna.

The construction of the temple began, and by May 2010, the beautiful and large Mata Vaishno Devi Temple in Vrindavan was completed. Now, people who can’t travel all the way to Jammu have a chance to worship and get the blessings of the goddess right here in Vrindavan.
